To Our Valued Members,
The Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre Board of Directors and staff would like to take the time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sadly, with yesterday’s announcement by the Ontario Government putting the entire province in Grey Level (Lockdown) beginning on December 26 and lasting until January 23, we will not be starting the new year the way we all hoped. This means that the Centre will be closed, and our current programs (Billiards, Exercise Rooms, Fitness Classes) have been canceled.
For those of you who have already paid for your January fitness classes, the office is open today and tomorrow (December 22nd and 23rd) from 8:30am to 4:00pm to pick up your refund. If you are not able to come to the centre, please call us at 519-627-6224 to discuss other possible arrangements.
The Badder Bus portion of the Shen Yun trip refunds are also still available for pickup in the office on these days.
Sue’s Kitchen will be closed as previously scheduled from December 24th to January 3rd. Starting January 4th, Sue’s Kitchen will reopen for frozen meal door pickup orders only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There will be no in-person dining or fresh-made orders available during the lockdown. Please call 519-359-6832 to pre-order.
As we come out of this lockdown, we will update everyone on the status of the Centre via our website (https://wallaceburgadultactivitycentre.ca), Facebook page, and email. We will keep with our regular weekday posting schedule of entertaining, educational, and fitness content, as well as any Centre updates that need to be shared with our members.
This holiday season is unlike any other, to cap off a year unlike any other. Throughout this season and as we move into a new year, we wish you moments of peace amid the difficulties, connections with family and friends even if they cannot be in person, the warmth of memories from holidays past, and wonderful glimpses of the joy that still lives under the surface.
