Wambo is our town’s largest event on the 2nd weekend of August and our centre’s best fundraising event. It is at this time that many of our members volunteer to help create a memorable time for those that visit our town and our centre. We open our doors and to the public and sell bake goods, pie and ice cream inside with tea and coffee. We invite people out of the heat and into our air conditioned facilities. Outside we do our traditional barbecue from peameal on a bun for breakfast to hot dogs and sausages for lunch. We can not forget pop and water as well.
We also have several raffles for items that were created by our talented members.
It not only our biggest fundraiser it is our biggest awareness campaign of who we are and our function in the community. It is a time for socialization and meeting new people. It the time we show our love for our community and our centre. So when you are out and enjoying Wambo check us out we have some awesome treats just waiting for you.
Bingo (Off Site–Fundraiser:)
One of our major fundraisers is hosting several bingo games each month at the Wallaceburg Hometown Bingo, Kinsmen Community Centre, 1416 Dufferin Ave Wallaceburg.
This is one way of keeping our cost to you down. So if you love to play bingo please come out and support our nights, let your purchase work towards helping out our Centre. Check the Monthly Calendar for our scheduled nights.
If playing bingo is not your cup of tea we are always looking for volunteers to help keep our night flowing smoothly and efficiently. If you are interested in Volunteering please fill out our form on our Volunteer Opportunities page or you can sign up in the office and give us a call. This is also a great opportunity for the High School Students you know to earn their community service hours.
