Government Incentives and Covid News for Seniors~~ July 10’s Update

There has been no significant changes in the last 7 days but our researcher has some interesting news on Property Taxes due date and additional drive thru testing centres around Chatham Kent

Senior’s Covid Benefit

You should have notices that the benefit from the Canadian Government was deposited in your bank account, unless you receive your government payments in the mail. Those that receive their payments by mail and have not received it yet keep an eye on your mailbox it should be in early next week.

What is new in Ontario?

The Ontario Government has again extended the. They are carefully considering all their options before moving forward with both stage 3 and allowing the declaration to expire. The Ontario government is using this time by working on a bill in legislation that will continue to help the Government to maneuver and proceed to keep us safe with emergency orders that can be extended till next year, while still lifting the Declaration.

This is a taunting task as they make sure that our rights are not infringed on while at the same time keeping us safe from a surge in outbreaks of this virus.

There is a new app coming in the near future (maybe this month) that will help with Tracking/tracing the Covid-19. If you are interested in learning more please check out this week’s Ask a Tech Geek where she explain what it is and how it will work.
