Let us Remember..

As we come to the end of April and the situation we all find ourselves in, let us remember that April is dedicated to Cancer Awareness.  With Social distancing always in the forefront of our minds, Cancer Awareness month has been overshadowed.  Daffodils are blooming bring smiles to our eyes, but they are also symbol of Cancer awareness.

As the Canadian Cancer Society puts it.

The daffodil is resilient. It survives our harsh winters and is the first flower to bloom in the spring – a time of renewal and hope. The daffodil is a symbol of strength, courage and life. During our annual Daffodil Campaign, Canadians rally around this symbol and take action to help fund game-changing research and support services – like our coast-to-coast, cancer information helpline – so no one has to face cancer alone.

Let take a moment today to think of those we love or knew with in our families, friends and community that are and have struggled with cancer. Those who have won the fight and those who bravely fighting or fought and consider donating to the Daffodil Campaign.

Remember that The Canadian Cancer society and Cancer Care Ontario are here to help and inform those who are dealing with this life changing disease, to better understand and not feel alone.

So when you see that daffodil today, take time to remember that this month was hard for all us but it was harder for those who are dealing with cancer.DSC00882 (2)
