Virtual Tour – Melbourne Zoo

This week’s virtual tour takes us down under to Australia’s Melbourne Zoo.

You get to see the traditional zoo animals like the lions, zebras, elephants and giraffes, plus some lesser known animals like the tamarin, coati, and Tasmanian devil. Plus the cutest trio of snow leopards!

As an added bonus, the Zoos Victoria YouTube channel has live cams of several habitats! These will usually be linked in the suggested videos section (on the right if you are using a desktop computer, or under the video for tablets and phones), or by clicking on the Zoos Victoria logo right under their video, which will take you to all their videos. Just scroll down a bit to the Live Now section and you can watch these beautiful creatures in real time!

Virtual Tour – Christmas Lights Tour of London, England

Virtual Tours are back! We first brought you virtual tours in the spring during the initial lockdown as a way to allow you to see places that you couldn’t visit. There are so many beautiful places around the world that so many of us will never be able to see in person for many different reasons. But that shouldn’t stop us from still being able to enjoy them! So we will be bringing you virtual tours from locations around the world. Look for these posts every Friday!

This week, we are going to take a walking tour around London, England to check out some of the best Christmas light displays across the city for Christmas and New Year 2021 . We know that Christmas was a week ago, but this Christmas Lights Tour from merry old England is too beautiful to wait until next Christmas to share.

The tour starts in Covent Garden with its beautiful large ornaments, Christmas trees, and mistletoe. Then we get to see view Leicester Square and Oxford Circus all lit up for the season. Continue on to the famous Regent Street and The Spirit of Christmas’ Angels Walk. See the world-famous window displays at Hamley’s Toy Shop, followed by a walk to see Selfridges amazing Christmas tree displays before ending in Chinatown. Enjoy!
