It’s time again for our Riddles and Brainteasers post for the month. Last month’s post really got your brain working out. Hopefully, today’s questions have you testing your mental agility again! As usual, we will post the 10 riddles below, then the answers, with a graphic separating the two, so hopefully you will notice if you start to scroll too far (but I won’t tell anyone if you cheat and peek at the answers!)

The Questions
- How many bricks does it take to complete a building made of bricks?
- What breaks but never falls? What falls but never breaks?
- A man goes out in heavy rain with nothing to protect him from it. His hair doesn’t get wet. How does he do that?
- Mike and Pat are in a desert. They both have packs on. Pat is dead. Mike who is alive has his pack open, Pat has his pack closed. What is in the packs?
- A rooster lays an egg at the very top of a slanted roof. Which side is the egg going to roll off on?
- What can’t be burned in a fire nor drowned in the water?
- If you are running a race, and you pass the person in second, what place are you in?
- When you need me, you throw me away. When you don’t need me, you bring me back. What am I?
- You do not want me when you don’t have me, but when you have me you don’t want to lose me. What am I?
- A snail is at the bottom of a 30 foot well. Every hour the snail is able to climb up 3 feet, then immediately slide back down 2 feet. How many hours does it take for the snail to get out of the well?
The Answers
- One – the last one. Then the building would be complete.

- The answer is actually 28 hours. Why? The logic is true, 1 foot an hour for, let’s say, 27 hours/feet, then at the end of the 28th hour the snail climbs 3 feet (making 30 feet,) and reaches the top before, this time, not sliding back.
