Are you ready for our 34th edition of Trivia Thursday and also our New Year’s Eve edition? Being New Year’s Eve Day this edition has a hodgepodge of New Year theme Trivia questions. Think you know the answers? Are you up to the challenge?

Story

The New Year was just about to be ushered in when Sally and James hurried down 9^th street. They had not seen each other in 10 years. They had made a pack the last day they saw each other that they would meet 10 years later on New Year ’s Eve; no matter where they were or what they were doing.  The streets were filled with people just waiting to ring in the New Year with cherished loved ones.   

They turned south on to Avenue Rd.  Suddenly the door to Icestock swung open and Sally almost ran right into it. 

“We have to take it a little slower or one of us is going to get hurt. James.” She begged.

“We are almost there you will love it. I found the perfect place but we must hurry it almost midnight.”  He quickly replied as he hurried her along.  She could barely get a glimpse in the windows or doors of the venues they passed by.  Oh how it sounds like they were having fun.  The old saying “When in Rome” kept running through her mind. 

“You haven’t changed a bit.” She raised her voice so he could hear her over the commotion around them. Unexpectedly, they came to a stop. 

“We are here!”. His face beamed with pride.. She looked up to see the name of a Scottish pub with the flag of Scotland hang over it. “The Black Bull”  

She started to laugh, as it brought back memories of the day they first met in a used book store. They both reached for the same book about the old English fairytale “The Black Bull of Norroway”.

“Well what did I tell you? I knew you love it; for old times’ sake or should I say names sake.” His lips curled up into a coy smile she remembered from long ago.

“Got to hurry in or we will miss the ball drop.” He opened the door and ushered her in. Just then they heard “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Happy New Years.”

James look deep into Sally’s eyes, “Well, what do you say; a Kiss for a fresh new start?”   

She could not resist his charm; she had missed him so much. The kiss was warm and inviting yet short.

“Are you wearing grapes chap stick still?” He asked while licking his lips with a chuckle. 

“Well you don’t fix what’s not broke.” She bantered back.  Laughing together, they walk up to the bar to order their drinks.
