Last week, we toured the ancient ruins of Pompeii, which was buried under 6 metres of volcanic ash, preserving the city as it was nearly 2000 Today we are back at Pompeii for another walk through the ruins. This time, we will be venturing through the Forum, where we will see some of the granaries that have provided archeologists with much of their information on daily life in ancient Rome. We will then visit the Basilica, one of the cities brothels, and the Temple of Jupiter, along with many other sites. I didn’t realize when I first found these two tours of Pompeii that there was a third one! I’ll give it a break for a couple of weeks to bring you some other great sites, but make sure you come back at the end of June for Part 3!
